The River Dordogne

The river which gives its name to the region rises in mountains in central France, to the north and east of the Dordogne, and flows west to Bordeaux where it merges with the Garronne to form the Gironde, a great tidal estuary which flows into the Atlantic west of Bordeaux. This page will show you something of the Dordogne River, and the activities upon it. This page is still under construction.
